Youp’là bouge
Launched in 2008, Youp'là bouge is implemented within an intercantonal program supported by Promotion Santé Suisse (Health Promotion Switzerland), whose goal is to promote movement in schools and child care centers on a daily basis.
Since 2014, the Myosotis Foundation child care centers have been certified by the Youp'là bouge label.
By committing to this label, our child care centers ensure that all children can move for at least 2:30 hours every day through specific indoor activities in dedicated or improvised spaces and during outings.
We know that through movement, children explore their environment and all the possibilities that their body offers. These discoveries play an essential role in their motor and cognitive development. Based on this observation, our educational teams’ goal is to support as much as possible children’s potential in terms of spontaneous movement (climbing, jumping, rolling...) in order to improve their coordination, endurance and balance. Moreover, moving promotes health, reduces the risk of bad postures and helps prevent accidents. As a result, children who discover the pleasure of moving have less risk of becoming sedentary as an adult.
Parents too are invited to take part in several Youp’là bouge activities organized at the child care centers or during specific events throughout the year.
Through our commitment, we also make sure to offer continuous training to several members of our teams in order to guarantee a program that is perfectly adapted to child care life.
With this label, we therefore make sure to train our staff in the Youp'là bouge approach, we set up spaces dedicated to movement and allow children to exercise during the day, thus promoting all the motor skills related to their development.
