Nurseries
The Nurseries team adapts as much as possible to the child’s needs and rhythm. The organization is at the service of pedagogy.
Members of the educational team interact with parents on a daily basis to provide children with a day schedule in line with their needs.
The diet of children in Nurseries changes according to their development. The introduction of new foods is done at home. The meals are adapted according to the family habits and food is gradually introduced in order to allow the child to pass from milk to mash, then to solid food.
Mothers can breastfeed on site if they want to.
Inspired by the Piklerian approach, special attention is paid to the development of the child and his/her autonomy. This approach puts the emphasis on discovery and lets children enter into a so-called “spontaneous self-induced” activity, which allows them to explore their environment according to their desires and psychomotor skills. Activities offered are designed according to the age of the children.
Children are having a nap when they seem tired. These moments allow the child to rest and regain their strength in their bed, in the hammock and sometimes even on a walk.
Care also plays an important role on young children and allows the educational team to devote themselves entirely to the children they are in charge of. This is an opportunity to offer a special moment where adults make sure to stay in permanent contact with children while talking to them and explaining them their gestures.
