We inform you of the resurgence of whooping cough cases in Switzerland.

For your information, the symptoms of this contagious disease are the following:

• Persistent cough without signs of improvement (at least 14 days),
• Cough,
• Noisy inspiration (whoop) or,
• Cough with respiratory distress, cyanosis and/or bradycardia (in infants).

Therefore and as a precautionary measure, we ask you to:

• Be attentive to the symptoms of your child(ren) as well as those of your family members,
• Consult your doctor in case of symptoms,
• Check your vaccination status and your family members.

Whooping cough is contagious, but benign in most cases. However, it can have serious consequences for babies under 6 months as well as pregnant women.

In the event of symptoms, we recommend you to take contact with your doctor and ask you to please avoid all access to the childcare center.
